Annual.  Native to Europe, Asia and North Africa.  An eerie plant with grayish-green leaves covered in sticky hairs, the folowers off-white and veined with black-purple.  Externally, Henbane can be safetly massaged into the spine as tincture, calve or oil to allay pain and spasm.  Plants prefer full sun, dryish soils.  Sow in nonsterilized soil in the early spring or cold-condition 30 days.
