Calendula officinalis
Well know garden plant and is probably one of the most useful of all herbs. Calendula has valuable medicinal properties. Can be used as a culinary herb and for skin care and cosmetic purposes. Calendula contains high amounts of flavonoids, plant based antioxidants that protect the body againste cell damaging free radicals. Annual that thrives in almost any soil. Grows to a height of 30 - 60cm and blooms from early spring until frost.
